Most people know exactly what it is they want to achieve as far as their health and fitness goals are concerned. Ensuring they are training correctly, taking the right supplements and eating according to their target goals can sometimes be a little more challenging to work out. With so many and varied supplements on the market today, it can be a little confusing to work out which ones suit you best. Sometimes you may not actually require a supplement regime but rather a change of environment/training or an eating plan:
- Do I want to bulk up or lean down?
- Is it weight loss I am after or energy to assist me with my workouts?
- Am I going to use protein as a recovery formula after exercise or do I also want to consider using protein as a snack between meals or as a meal replacement?
- What are the most effective combination of supplements that have been scientifically proven to put on weight/lose weight?
- How can I best utilise supplements to enhance my goals?
The answer to these questions are actually quite easy to work out once you have established your exact goal(s). If you are eating correctly to assist your goals and are training with a matching exercise regime, selecting the correct supplement(s) is not that challenging. If, however you are simply continuing to purchase the same supplements you have in the past, ask yourself if it is time for a change. Have you been getting the results you seek or are you still at the same point you were three months ago? Exercise, nutrition and supplementation is about progress, health, longevity, and for many, achieving certain short term and long term goals. Don’t hesitate to question what you believe to be correct; there is no harm in doing so.
